Proficiency Testing refers to the activities undertaken by a laboratory in order to provide objective evidence that their experimental data should be accepted as correct.

This activity is recommended as a good laboratory practice (GLP) to improve the quality of the scientific work.

Since 1990, IQS – Institut Químic de Sarrià has been organizing exercices among laboratories of European Nuclear Power Plants, with the purpose of supplying objective information for the evaluation of the performance of each laboratory on water chemical analysis.

IQS is a university Center specialized in higher education, research and technical services on Chemistry and Engineering.
